Paradoxical Intentions



 
                                       The fear is the mother of event 
there are often times when we want to do something but we are over excited or have too much anxiety for that work or persons that we are not comfortable in our motives and get stuck in in a mental riddle because of phobia we have- these hyper-intention(i.e we wanted to do something but also we are afraid of it getting wrong or the intention is wrong and we know it ,so the intentions are forced or pretending one),it makes sweating or nervousness


Naturally we try to fight the idea which hunts him, but in that we increase their power to disturb ourselves
these forced intentions makes impossible what one forcibly wishes.
these hyper intentions are common in interaction of opposite sex !
as the more a man tries to demonstrate his sexual potency or a woman her ability to experience orgasm,the less they are able to succeed .

to overcome this fear of anxiety or nervousness there is a technique called "paradoxical intentions" which basically involves to try to do just the opposite of what you do
from above example - do try to show your sexual potency will have better chances to succeed

these can be applied in sleep disturbance or the fear of sleeplessness in that situation what one can do is try satay awake for as long as possible so the hyper intention to fall asleep,arising from the anticipatory anxiety of not being able to do so ,must be replaced by the paradoxical intention not to fall asleep which will be followed by sleep
